Seventh seed Michigan State meets No. 10 seed Davidson in the NCAA tournament on Friday.

Michigan State vs Davidson Preview
Michigan State has been a Final Four regular under head coach Tom Izzo.
This year’s Spartans (22-12) will need to get past a tough 10th seed in Davidson (27-6) first before getting anywhere close to New Orleans. Davidson, a mid major, didn’t need to win the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament to make the Big Dance. The Wildcats have a solid team and could make a run in the NCAA tournament.
MSU started the sea son strong at 14-2 but stumbled during the Big Ten season and went 8-10 from Jan. 15 through the conference tournament. the Spartans fell 75-70 to Purdue in the tournament. Notable regular season wins for the Spartans include Connecticut, Loyola Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Purdue.
Offensively, the Spartans average 72.1 points per game, and they give up 68.4 points per night on defense. Davidson holds teams to 65.8 points per game on average, and the Wildcats score 75.6 points per contest.
Michigan State Leaders
Gabe Brown leads the Spartans with 11.4 points per game. Brown also averages 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
