Where to Watch Jets Games if You Don’t Have Cable

Zach Wilson

Getty Zach Wilson looks to have a big second year with the Jets.

After winning just four games last year, the New York Jets are just hoping to see some improvement in 2022.

If you don’t have cable and you live in the Jets market, you can watch a live stream of every televised game (one game will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video) on FuboTV or DirecTV Stream, which both include CBS, Fox, NBC and ESPN and come with a free trial.

Those are the two best options if you’re cutting cable, but there are some other alternatives, including some for out-of-market viewers, so here’s a full guide on the different ways to watch Jets games streaming live online in 2022:

If You Live out of the Jets Market

SundayTicket.TV

You can watch a live stream of every out-of-market, non-nationally televised NFL game via SundayTicket.TV. Unfortunately, the service is only available for people who live in residences where DirecTV Satellite isn’t available (apartments, condos, etc.), residents of a few select metropolitan cities or college students. You can check your eligibility and sign up here:

Get SundayTicket.TV

Once signed up, out-of-market fans can watch Jets games live on the NFL Sunday Ticket app or NFL Sunday Ticket website.

Sunday Ticket Through DirecTV Satellite

This is different from “DirecTV Stream,” which is a live-streaming service that comes with no contract and doesn’t offer Sunday Ticket in any of its packages.

DirecTV Satellite is a cable option, which comes with a contract, but it’s worth mentioning here because for many people, it’s the only way to get Sunday Ticket and watch live out-of-market games in the United States. Sunday Ticket is currently included at no extra cost with the “Choice” ($69.99 per month) and above TV bundles:

New York Jets 2022 Season Preview

Zach Wilson enters his second year as the New York Jets’ starting quarterback, but things likely will have to wait.

Wilson injured his knee during the preseason but could return to play by Week 4 of the regular season according to Jets head coach Robert Saleh via ESPN’s Rich Cimini.

“We’re going to make sure mind and body are 110 percent and make sure we do right by him,” Saleh said via Cimini. “We feel like, from talking to the doctors and everyone, it’s going to be that Pittsburgh week.”

Until Wilson returns, the Jets will go with veteran Joe Flacco. The former Baltimore Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl XLVII MVP has been a back up for several years since leaving Baltimore. The Jets could benefit from his veteran leadership though he may not light up the scoreboard.

Flacco at least had a promising performance amid his few snaps in 2021 when he completed 64.3% of his passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns versus no interceptions. He started one game last season and four games in 2020 where he threw for 864 yards an six touchdowns versus three intercetpions.

New York plays in a potentially tough AFC East Division with the Buffalo Bills looking like Super Bowl favorites. The New England Patriots could still be dangerous though questions marks linger going into quarterback Mac Jones’ second season with the team. The Miami Dolphins added star power in playmakers such as Tyreek Hill.

Offensive Outlook

Jets quarterbacks have a quality wide receiver in Corey Davis to throw to. Fellow receivers Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore can also make players. Tight end Tyler Conklin can also provide some offense in the passing game.

The Jets will look to Breece Hall gain yards on the ground.

Defensive Outlook

The Jests didn’t have a strong defense in 2021, but the additions of Carl Lawson and Jermaine Johnson could make a difference up front. New York also made a solid addition to the secondary with safety Jordan Whitehead.

Special Teams Outlook

Kicker Greg Zuerlein will be looked to for points, and punter Braden Mann can help the field position game. Braxton Berrios will take care of punt and kick return duties.
