On August 1st, Motorola will finally display their new flagship phone for Android. The company distributed invitations for press to attend this conference. The image seen above provided only essential information in order to RSVP. The event is taking place in New York City but did not provide an exact location. However, this phone has been anticipated for a long time.
Google acquired Motorola back in 2012 but this phone has been considered the company’s “worst kept secret“. Despite this, the Moto X is the first phone built completely under Google so expectations are high. The primary focus for the device is expected to be customization. Customers can hopefully choose from a variety of colors for the sides of the phone as an example.
While there is still some mystery surrounding this press conference, CEO Dennis Woodside has already provided the public with some details regarding the Moto X. Production for the phone is supposed to take place down in Texas which is going to allow for quick shipping. The price may be $199 off-contract too but we should gain more insight when it premieres on August 1st.
