Yesterday, Nokia confirmed that they would be hosting an event in Abu Dhabi on October 22nd. A new rumor has emerged that the company will be announcing a whopping six new devices on October 22nd including two new Lumias. Titled Innovation Reinvented, Nokia was expected to debut a 6-inch Lumia 1520 continuing the phablet trend. Another speculated product is a Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet.
The company’s future has been vague since Microsoft purchased the smartphone division earlier this month. However, The Verge noted that they may be experimenting with new form factors as well leading into the development of some of these fabled gadgets mentioned above.
Apple has ignited a serious amount of competition for other smartphone makers so Nokia needs to make a big impact with this event on October 22nd. Nokia needs these devices to succeed before they officially transition away from the consumer market for good.
