In other words, the characters Francis, Claire, Zoe, President Walker, Raymond Tusk, Remy, Lucas, Christina, Frank’s bodyguard Edward, Doug Stamper, Janine, ex-prostitute Rachel, and White House Chief of Staff Linda Vasquez will be coming back.
- The Season 2 synopsis has leaked and the IBTimes has provided it online:
Francis (Kevin Spacey) and Claire (Robin Wright) Underwood continue their ruthless rise to power as threats mount on all fronts. Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara, ‘American Horror Story’), an up-and-coming reporter and Francis’s former paramour, is inching closer to the truth about his crimes. President Walker’s (Michael Gill, “The Good Wife”) billionaire confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney, “Southland”) demands that Francis reciprocate political favors or face retribution. And Claire must confront the increasing glare of the spotlight as it eats away at her and Francis’ once private existence. The Underwood’s must overcome these dangers — past and present — to avoid losing everything, regardless of collateral damage they leave in their wake.
- New cast members will include Molly Parker, Joanna Going, and Sam Page.
- The Epoch Times writes:
Frank Underwood becomes vice president, which was confirmed at the end of season 1. This means that his wife Claire “must deal with the bright glare of the spotlight and how the intense scrutiny eats away at their once private existence,” according to the official description … Raymond Tusk threatens Underwood after helping him get the vice president position. He says that if Underwood doesn’t reciprocate political favors, then he must face retribution.
- Zoe Barnes continues to investigate Peter Russo’s death.
- Christian Today reports:
Executive producer Rick Cleveland mentioned to Gold Derby that he believed Season 2 would be the final season for House of Cards, adding that the main actors prefer to act in movies than in television. However, both Cleveland and creator Beau Willimon tweeted hopes to write more seasons.
Well, it looks like Cleveland was wrong because Netflix renewed the show for a third season.
Stay tuned for any more spoilers that come our way …
