The zipline will be open between the San Diego Convention Center and the Hilton Bayfront Hotel from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, July 27 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.

4. ‘Gotham’ Centers Around Det. James Gordon and Not Batman

Gotham focuses on the origin story for James Gordon, the city’s future police commissioner who’s currently working the streets as a detective alongside Det. Harvey Bullock. Gordon and Bullock will investigate the murder of a Bruce Wayne’s parents when they are gunned down in front of their young son in a dark alley.

Showrunner Bruno Heller spoke with Entertainment Weekly about why the show chose Gordon for its main character:

The first thing was starting with Jim Gordon, who is the most human and real and normal person in the DC pantheon. What would the city of Gotham look like to a young rookie cop coming into this world? And that’s where we calibrated. This is a world that’s going to become that familiar world of Batman, but it’s not there yet. It’s an embryo.
