Drama is at its peak in Genoa City as The Young and the Restless heads into the holiday season with no love loss between the Abbotts and Newmans.

This begs the question: Will the popular soap be on the air for the Christmas? That answer is yes. However, the episode will be a rerun of last year’s December 25 installment.

Here’s what you need to know about for the December 23 through 25 episodes of The Young and the Restless.

On December 23, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), will be motivated to keep the Christmas season alive, according to TV Guide.

Recently, Nikki attempted to connect with Sage (Kelly Sullivan) by letting her in on her own struggles losing a baby.

On December 24, Victor (Eric Braeden) — who’s been trying to cut the Santoris out of Newman Enterprises lately — will have “a change of heart” in time for the holidays. The antagonist recently collected $500 million in lawsuit money, making Newman Enterprises financially solvent again.

Also, Traci (Beth Maitland) will make her return to Genoa City while Devon (Bryton James) will be reconsidering his situation with Hilary (Mishael Morgan). Hilary — who was recently romantic with Neil (Kristoff St. John) — has continued pulling further away from Devon.

On December 25, Y&R will air a repeat of its Christmas Day 2014 episode where an unanticipated event is the catalyst for Genoa City’s Christmas spirit. The daytime installment features Devon and Hilary during happier times, Billy (Burgess Jenkins) — whose been down on his luck — and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) together, and Victor in one of his more generous moods.
