Lily was born in Vietnam, and is the adoptive child of Mitchell and Cameron. At the age of four, Anderson-Emmons became the youngest ever nominee and recipient of a SAG award for her performance in Modern Family. She was born in 2007 in Santa Monica, California, and enjoys activities like riding her pony, skateboarding, attending movies, and going to Disneyland and Disney World.
