Terra Jole and Sasha Farber
Season 23 of Dancing With The Stars airs with the first ever little person contestant. Terra Jole of Little Women LA has joined the cast opposite pro partner Sasha Farber. In her blog with People, Jole talked about her experience so far on the show and explained why she decided to get involved, explaining: I really wanted to be a part of Dancing with the Stars not only to challenge myself, but hopefully to show other people with disabilities that anything is possible. As a new mother of two, I wasn't even sure I would be physically able to perform. I gave birth to my son three weeks before my very first rehearsal. Luckily, the doctor approved this journey and I've never looked back. One thing that Jole has said she's worried about is being discredited because of her height, stating that: What I do I fear is that people have already dismissed us as competitors due to my physical appearance. I'm fearful they won't take us seriously. If there's one goal, it's to change not only fellow competitors opinion but America's opinion on what "different" people are capable of.
