Thanks to the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians dragging the World Series to a sixth game, the wait continues for the next episode of New Girl. The sixth episode of series six, “Ready,” will not air until November 15 at 8:30 p.m. ET. The show is being pushed back until then due to Election Day coverage on November 8.
If you forgot what happened in the last episode of the show, “Jaipur Aviv,” Schmit (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone) began planning out their new hope and found themselves clashing over interior decor. Meanwhile, Nick (Jake Johnson) told Jess (Zooey Deschanel) that he was planning on asking Reagan (Megan Fox) to move into the loft after Cece and Schmidt leave. Jess, who still has feelings for Nick, decided that it would be best to allow Reagan to live with them. Even after getting the votes needed to approve a new roommate, Nick votes against Reagan moving in because he second guesses himself again. Winston (Lamorne Morris) had enough and sent an invitation to Reagan, using Nick’s phone.
The sixth episode of Season 6 was supposed to be “James Wonder,” but that’s been replaced with “Ready.” Here’s the synopsis for that episode:
Jess decides she’s ready to wade back into the dating pool, so Schmidt prods her to take the plunge with her workout partner. Meanwhile, Cece hires a hunky new bartender, leaving Nick to wrestle with the concept of male beauty; Winston’s newfound confidence renders him irresistible.
Here’s the synopsis for “James Wonder”:
Jess tries to impress the president of the Parents’ Council to become the principal of her school. Meanwhile, Winston puts his undercover skills to the test and Nick tries to find the perfect wedding gift for Schmidt and Cece.
While you wait another week for the new episode, here’s an awesome photo of the New Girl cast dressed as The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story characters. The photo was shared by creator Liz Meriwether as a preview for a Christmas episode that will air later this year.
