Magalhaes, Pokrajac meet in Sept.
Light heavyweights Vinny Magalhaes and Igor Pokrajac are expected to meet at UFC 152 this September.
Sportsnet’s Joe Ferraro reported the match up on Twitter last evening.
Earlier this week, reports circulated that Magalhaes, after a lengthy waiting period, had signed with the UFC. The submission ace has been out of action for some time, looking to walk away from M-1 Global after he and the promotion had a major fallout.
He last fought in October of 2011, defending his M-1 Global light heavyweight title. The victory pushed his professional record to 9-5.
Meanwhile, Pokrajac finds himself on a three-fight winning streak since his loss to Stephan Bonnar back in December of 2010. He last competed at “UFC on FUEL TV 3,” earning a unanimous decision victory over Fabio Maldonado.
UFC 152 is set for September 22 in Toronto. The card will be headlined by a flyweight title fight between contenders Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson.
