The UFC heads to Seattle for the first time

UFC executives today announced that the promotion will be heading to Seattle in March.

UFC Fight Night 24 takes place March 26 at Key Arena. The event airs on Spike TV.

The card is expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Tito Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. A featherweight rematch between Leonard Garcia and Nam Phan is the first fight officially announced for the event.

Garcia and Phan faced off at December’s “Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale” card. Garcia was awarded a split-decision victory that left media members and fans scratching their heads. The decision was controversial enough that UFC commentator Joe Rogan used much of the next bout to go on a verbal tirade against the state of MMA judging, the Nevada State Athletic Commission and NSAC executive Keith Kizer.

The current card for UFC Fight Night 24 includes:

– Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Tito Ortiz
– Dan Hardy vs. Anthony Johnson
– Leonard Garcia vs. Nam Phan
– John Hathaway vs. Kris McCray
– Duane Ludwig vs. Amir Sadollah
– Sean McCorkle vs. Christan Morecraft
– Jon Madsen vs. Mike Russow
– Michael McDonald vs. Nick Pace
– Dennis Hallman vs. T.J. Waldburger
– Alex Caceres vs. Mackens Semerzier
