Washington Redskins cornerback D’Angelo Hall left Thursday’s game against the New York Giants with a toe injury.

The injury was non-contact but did not appear good for Hall, who has been injury-prone throughout his career. Hall tore his ACL last year and spent the better part of the offseason rehab’ing so that he would be ready to return to the gridiron in 2015.

It didn’t take long for the Washington Redskins to officially announce an update on Hall’s injury, shutting down the quickly rampant rumors that had overtaken social media:

Hall needed to be helped off the field and was noticeably avoiding putting any weight on his foot. His condition was eventually downgraded to out late in the third quarter.
