Chelsea still haven’t lost in the Premier League under Guus Hiddink, and they can push the unbeaten streak to 13 games with a strong performance at home today against Stoke City. Once hovering above relegation, Hiddink has steadied Chelsea and earned them more points than any other club so far in 2016. Now although the title is out of reach, Chelsea can still make a push for the final two European spots with the league season winding down.
The problem is the schedule, which features two massive non-league matches this week. First PSG finishes off Champions League action, then the team travels to Everton next weekend for FA Cup action. It was easier for Chelsea when they didn’t care about the Premier League, but a win today over Stoke would put them right in the thick of the competition for a Europa League spot.
