The road to the Kentucky Derby gets a lot more interesting with three prep races all occurring on Saturday. The Santa Anita Derby finishes off the day after the Blue Grass Stakes and Wood Memorial occur earlier on Saturday. All three races have Kentucky Derby points up for grabs.

Odds: According to the Courier-Journal, Exaggerator (4/1) enters the race as the favorite.
Race Preview: Horse racing fans can look for a wet, rainy derby on Saturday with showers expected throughout the day. The conditions make it hard to project what will happen and which horses will respond favorably to the inclement weather.
Exaggerator and Smokey Image are two horses participating in Santa Anita that are also expected to compete in next month’s Kentucky Derby. It is a 100–40–20–10 points race towards next month’s marquee race at Churchill Downs. While Exaggerator is the favorite to win the race, fans will be watching to see if he is able to do well if the conditions turn out to be less than favorable.
