Here’s a look at all the betting information you need to know, along with a prediction for Wednesday:
United vs. City Betting Info
Spread: Pick, with United -125 & City -105
Moneyline: United (+150), City (+175), Draw (+220)
Over/Under: Over 2.5 (Even), Under 2.5 (-130)
Both teams from Manchester have stumbled recently, and a midweek win over a rival would be a huge boost for either club. United suffered the worst loss of Jose Mourinho’s managerial career, falling 4-0 to Chelsea. City suffered the same result against Barcelona last week, and failed to respond properly in a 1-1 draw with Southampton on Sunday. City started the season with 10 straight victories, but have now gone five matches without a win.
Both teams will shuffle their lineup, with the big concern being United’s placement of Wayne Rooney. There was chatter this week about Rooney possibly being sold, as Mourinho looks to shake up his roster amidst a string of poor results.
City will adapt without Kevin De Bruyne, who suffered a knock last week and may also miss the weekend Premier League meeting with West Brom. As is usual for City cup matches, Willy Caballero will start in goal.
City got the better of United last time out, but it was a close-fought contest in the final minutes. Expect this contest to be similar, but without an early advantage City might not catch the same breaks.
Prediction: 2-1 United
Best Bet: Both teams to score YES (-135)
