WATCH: Samoa Joe Debuts on ‘Monday Night Raw’

NXT superstar Samoa Joe made a surprise debut on Monday Night Raw tonight, suddenly attacking Seth Rollins on behalf of Triple H in the final segment.

At the conclusion of January 30th’s show, Triple H arrived and ranted about how badly Seth Rollins has let him down, saying that he has tried so hard not to be the guy who goes around beating people up and ending careers but that now he’s done trying. Triple H then challenged Seth Rollins to a fight, and Rollins entered right on cue.

But just as Rollins was making his way to the ring, out of absolutely nowhere, he was attacked by Samoa Joe, who came in from the side without his theme being played. This instantly prompted a “holy sh–!” chant from the crowd, followed by a “This is awesome!” The arena, which had been relatively quiet throughout large stretches of the show, instantly exploded into a cacophony of excitement.

Triple H then left the arena as Samoa Joe continued to beat up Seth Rollins; Joe stood over Rollins victorious as the show drew to a close.

The appearance of Samoa Joe was widely expected to occur at Royal Rumble on Sunday, but that did not happen, with the final “surprise” entrant instead being Roman Reigns. Now we know why Joe did not show up at Royal Rumble, and any lingering feelings of disappointment in last night’s show were shattered by this exciting Raw debut.
