After Jhonattan Vegas took down a fairly watered-down field at the RBC Canadian Open, the best of the best will be at Firestone Country Club this week for the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational.

With it being a WGC event, and with the PGA Championship just a week away, it’s no surprise that most of the world’s top players will be in Akron, with everyone inside the Top 10 and most of the Top 50 in action.

World No. 2 Jordan Spieth–fresh off his Open Championship victory–stands as the oddsmakers’ favorite (7-to-1), while defending champ Dustin Johnson, who has gone an absurd 5th, 14th, 5th, 1st, 35th, 1st and 1st in his last seven WGC events is just behind at 9-to-1 along with Rory McIlroy.

With such a deep field, though, contenders can be found anywhere on the odds list. Rickie Fowler (14-to-1) has a win and seven Top-10’s on the year. Hideki Matsuyama (18-to-1) has consistently been in contention at big events such as this one. Jon Rahm (20-to-1) has slowed down a bit as of late but remains an electric young talent who can go low at any time. Matt Kuchar (28-to-1) cooled down in Canada but remains in excellent form. Sergio Garcia feels like a steal at 28-to-1 with the way he’s played this year. Daniel Berger (40-to-1) is 12th on Tour in birdie or better percentage. And so on and so on.
