Preview

For the past two seasons Johnson has been the backup quarterback behind Nick Marshall. Marshall was dual-threat quarterback that allowed Auburn to take advantage of both his rushing and passing ability. However, Johnson did get to play in limited action.

Nick Marshall was suspended for the first half of last season’s opener against Arkansas. Jeremy started in his place and completed his first 8 passes. He finished the half 12-of-16 for 243 yards and two touchdowns.

Marshall started the second half and the rest of the season. The game had Auburn fans wondering if Johnson not Marshall was the quarterback of the future. This afternoon we begin to see if Jeremy Johnson is the next great Auburn quarterback.
