The Heavy pro football Weekly Pick'em contest runs throughout the 2024 NFL regular season. The contest is free, with a $1,000 prize awarded to the winner each week, and a grand prize of $25,000 to the winner of the full season! Here's how to play ... • Register Your Free Account: To participate in the Pick’em contest, register by logging in with a Google or Facebook account in the Make Picks area. It is FREE to register. After logging in, you will be prompted to enter a username. The full rules and eligibility requirements for the contest can be read here. • Make Your Picks: Each week during the regular season you will pick the team you think will win in every matchup. The pick is simply who will win, not against the spread. When you get to the contest page you will see all the available matchups. Check the box with the team’s name to make your selection. After making your selections, hit Save Picks. If you'd like to look to week's ahead and make early picks, use the selector to navigate to the season week of your choice. You can change a pick up to 1/2 hour before the kickoff of each game, when it will lock. If you make any changes to your picks, you must hit Save Picks again. A correct pick is worth 1 point. You won’t lose any points for an incorrect pick, and a tie will also result in 0 points. • Juice a Pick: Each week, one of your picks can be juiced 3X. Pick the game you’re most confident in and click the “Juice This Pick” bubble. If that pick is correct, you will earn 3 points instead of 1. If it's incorrect, you still get zero. Once the game you juiced locks, you cannot change the 3X multiplier to a different pick. Like with other picks, you must Save your pick if you select or change the juiced pick. • Tiebreaker: You will also make a tiebreaker pick each week, which will be used to determine the winner of the weekly prize in case of a tie. For the tiebreaker, you will predict the total points scored by both teams combined in the final game of the week. In case of a tie, the contest participant whose tiebreaker pick was the closest to the total without going over will be declared the winner. If the tiebreaker is unable to determine a winner, the prize will be split. To lock in your tiebreaker pick, hit Save Tiebreaker. • Check the Results and Track Your Position: After games have been played, you can check the results on your picks page. To view the week's results after the week ends, or to view season-long resutls, and go to the Leaderboard tab to see how you’re positioned against other competitors. You can look back at the standings for any individual week and for the entire season.
