After an impressive performance in the first game of the season, Carlos Hyde was expected to carry the load for the 49ers. Hyde rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns against the Vikings on Monday Night Football, and has also been a hot fantasy prospect for this season. Already down Reggie Bush, who is dealing with a calf injury, Hyde left today’s game early after a rough hit to his knee.

Hyde appeared to be in pain immediately following the hit, but limped off the field without assistance.

Down two of their top running backs, expect to see viral sensation Jarryd Hayne get his first real dose of NFL action. Hayne has ran sparingly so far this season, releagted mostly to sepcial teams duties. His first real test will be today against a physical Steelers front.

UPDATE: Hyde returned later in the drive, but it may be be due to the total lack of depth for San Francisco.
