Even though Suicide Squad hits theaters in just two weeks, Warner Bros. showed off yet another trailer for the film at San Diego Comic-Con International on Saturday. The film opens on August 5 and it looks like all the promotion has helped.
Earlier in the week, TheWrap reported that Suicide Squad has a chance at breaking the August debut box office record with over $100 million. That would be impressive, as the current record-holder is Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy with a $94.3 million opening.
Like Guardians, Suicide Squad features some rather obscure characters, but the star power should be enough to attract moviegoers who don’t read comics. Will Smith is Deadshot, Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn and Viola Davis is Amanda Waller. Davis’ character is the one who brings the squad of villains together to in an effort to get the government its own group of meta-humans.

Also appearing in the film are Ben Affleck as Batman and Jared Leto as The Joker. It was written and directed by Fury‘s David Ayer.
