Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer returns to Paul Brown Stadium on Friday night, as he takes on his former team in preseason action. Zimmer spent six seasons as Cincinnati’s defensive coordinator, and his work there earned him a promotion and a move to Minnesota. After both teams went one-and-done in the playoffs last season, both teams will once again have postseason aspirations in 2016.

For the Bengals, their chances were derailed after an injury to quarterback Andy Dalton. He’s expected to play a few series Friday night, his first NFL action since December 13th. Dalton has new talent on the outside this year, as Bengal veterans Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu both left in free agency. Brandon LaFell was signed in the offseason, and they drafted Pitt wideout Tyler Boyd in the second round.
