The Giants defeated the Patriots 17-9 in the final game of the preseason. If one had to summarize the game, look no further than the five first half turnovers the teams combined to give up.
In somewhat of a surprise move, the Patriots played Tom Brady for the entire first half. Brady got his first preseason action in a game typically reserved for players fighting to make the team. New England wanted Brady to get reps before he starts his four-game suspension.
After a shaky start, Brady settled down to lead a touchdown drive after throwing a first quarter interception. Brady was 16-of-26 for 166 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
For the Giants, Ryan Nassib got the start at quarterback as the team rested Eli Manning. Nassib played the majority of the game and had flashes of solid play amidst his inconsistencies. He finished the night 16-of-29 for 210 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
