Manchester United could see changes in the starting lineup ahead of Sunday’s clash with West Ham.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan impressed in United’s midweek Europa League match, and his performance may earn him his first Premier League start. United could use a shaking up after a sluggish run, winning just once in their last six Premier League outings.
West Ham have struggled all season, and haven’t won at Old Trafford since 2007. They currently sit 17th in the Premier League table, but trail sixth-place United by only eight points.
West Ham’s struggles can’t be pinned on Dimitri Payet, who has continued to play well after a strong EURO run. Payet has created 43 scoring chances this year, more than anyone else in the Premier League. Unfortunately for West Ham and Payet, his teammates have only converted four of those chances.
Andy Carroll, who is tied with Payet for the squad lead with nine goals, will miss Sunday’s match with a thigh injury.
