The 2017 NFL playoffs have begun as the Oakland Raiders are facing the Texans in Houston, and before game time it wasn’t yet certain whether Oakland would have the services of wide receiver Amari Cooper. Cooper is active and in the game for Oakland.
Cooper was limited in practice this week due to a shoulder injury, and has been listed on the Raiders’ injury report as questionable. Being without Cooper would have made an already steep climb for Oakland in this game even more treacherous.
Oakland’s offense could already be handcuffed because Connor Cook is starting at quarterback for the Raiders, making him the first quarterback in NFL history to make his first career start in a playoff game. Being without Cooper would further inhibit Oakland’s offense and apply additional pressure to Cook. This tweet from the league looks promising for Cooper and the Raiders.
