A special Easter event has just begun in Pokemon Go, and this upcoming week will be an excellent time for players to rack up a significant amount of XP.
From April 13th through April 20th, every action you take in the game will give you double the amount of XP as usual. One of the best ways to maximize the amount of XP you gain during the Easter celebration is to make use of a Lucky Egg.
Lucky Eggs are items that double the XP you gain during a set period of time, and so if you use a Lucky Egg during the Easter event, you’ll actually be gaining four times the amount of XP as usual. This only lasts 30 minutes, though; you activate the Lucky Egg, and then whatever you do during the next half-hour will give you four times the XP.
Niantic clearly knows that players are going to want to do this, and so they have decreased the cost of Lucky Eggs in the game’s store. Before, it cost 80 coins for one Lucky Egg, 500 coins for eight Lucky Eggs, and 1,250 coins for 25 Lucky Eggs. For the next week, the eggs are half off, i.e. 40 coins for one, 250 coins for eight, and 625 coins for 25. 100 coins can be purchased for $0.99, 550 coins can be purchased for $4.99, and 1,200 coins can be purchased for $9.99.
In addition, you can also obtain Lucky Eggs through regular gameplay by leveling up. However, the items are only given out every five levels, starting at Level 10 and going to Level 40. You can obtain coins through gameplay by placing Pokemon at gyms and collecting a coin bonus every 24 hours.
So that you can quickly level up throughout the Easter event, here’s a look at all of the activities in the game that reward the player with XP. The XP number on this chart is the amount you will gain with double XP during the Easter event.
