Three weeks after they crash land on a deserted island, tensions run high for Team Scorpion when they must battle to overcome their relationship obstacles with each other in order to be rescued, on SCORPION, Monday, May 15 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. (CBS)

Scorpion fans should be happy to know that this isn’t the end of Paige and Walter. The show has been picked up for a fourth season.

Season 2 of Scorpion averaged a 1.77 rating in the 18-49 demo and 9.64 million viewers. Halfway through the third season, the show was drawing in a 1.0 rating and about 6.5 million viewers. Last Monday, May 8, it reached a three-month high, with 7.5 million views and a 1.1 rating. If the trend continues,  Season 4 could be promising for the network.

Executive producer Nick Santora recently told EW that he believes the season 3 finale is one of the funniest episodes of the show so far. “You can expect Scorpion to have derailed, [because] even geniuses have their breaking points.”

Last week, the team found themselves on a deserted island, and all sorts of relationship drama ensued. Walter struggled to admit his feelings to Paige, but Paige was okay with that, and told him he could take as long as he wanted. If the two do, in fact, get together, that could mean a stable relationship in season 4.

CarterMatt predicts that some sort of “weird, twisted dream” may be a focus in tonight’s episode, especially considering things in the promo look all-too perfect for a group of people who’ve been stuck on a deserted island for three weeks. He points out that in the flash-forward at the end of last week’s episode, Sylvester had a beard, and in the promo for tonight, he doesn’t have a beard. “Unless someone attacked him with a razor, this doesn’t seem right. Also, how can anyone get along this well after spending that much time on an island together with no distractions?”

In some promo pics for the show, the gang appears to be in grave danger as they sprint away from… well, something. Other CBS shows that were renewed are Code Black48 Hours, 60 Minutes, The Amazing Race, The Big Bang Theory – Renewed through Season 12, Big Brother – Renewed Through Season 20, Blue Bloods, Bull, The Bold and the Beautiful, Code BlackCriminal Minds, Elementary, Hawaii Five-O, Kevin Can Wait, Life In Pieces, MacGyver,  Madam Secretary, Man With A Plan, Mom, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion, Superior Donut, Survivor, and Zoo.
