Tonight is Season 8 Episode 6 of The Walking Dead. After last week — which may have been the best episode of the season yet — we have high hopes for tonight. A lot of fans are wondering just how long tonight’s episode will be, since last week’s was an extra 13 minutes long. We’re also going to get a big announcement on Talking Dead after the episode finishes airing, so it will be good to know when to expect that announcement too.
Well, tonight’s episode will run a little longer than normal, although it won’t be as long as last week’s episode. Tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead will be 64 minutes long. That means it’s running from 9 p.m. Eastern to 10:04 p.m. Eastern, an extra four minutes.
This isn’t the first time an episode for The Walking Dead has run long. In fact, it happened a number of times last season. In Season 7, the midseason premiere was also 73 minutes long. Even this season’s premiere was 67 minutes long, giving fans an extra seven minutes of runtime.
The description for tonight’s episode reads:
With things looking up for Rick’s group, an argument breaks out at the Hilltop. The consequences of the decision are life versus death.
Of course, that description leaves you wondering: exactly what could happen at the Hilltop that leads to life or death consequences? We know that Rick and Daryl got in a fight this past week, but that’s not what we’re seeing at the Hilltop. It probably has something to do with the Savior survivors that Jesus brought to the Hilltop. Maggie’s going to have to decide what to do with them, and that decision isn’t going to be easy.
After the episode tonight airs, Talking Dead will then reveal which character is going to be featured in a crossover between Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead. If you haven’t seen Fear the Walking Dead recently, you really should catch up. In some ways, the show is actually starting to be even better than The Walking Dead. The show just completed Season 3. A lot of fans have been guessing that Abraham will be the character who will be featured in the crossover. But Greg Nicotero said that fans haven’t guessed the character yet. However, no one’s sure if they should believe him or if he was just saying that to try to throw off fans who already had the big surprise figured out.
Here’s a preview for tonight:
