Griffin, Ortiz lead UFC 148 salaries

UFC 148 co-main event fighters Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin walked away from the event with the largest paydays.

Breaking well into six-figures, Griffin earned a cool $275,000, including a win bonus of $150,000, while Ortiz, who lost via unanimous decision in what was his final UFC contest, earned $250,000.

MMAjunkie.com confirmed the fighter salaries today.

The only other giant checks went to Anderson Silva, whose $200,000 earnings came in as the third largest of the event’s fighter salaries, and Cung Le, who earned $150,000. Silva defeated Chael Sonnen in the main event of the highly-anticipated card, earning a second round technical knockout victory to defend his middleweight title.

For his efforts, Sonnen walked away with $50,000.
