UFC superstar Conor McGregor has apparently had enough of fans expressing their feelings about his loss at UFC 264 to Dustin Poirier and his behavior after the fight. McGregor lashed out at his critics via social media on Monday via Instagram.
He posted, “I wipe my rich ass with your feelings about my work. I feel nothing for you bums. Nada!”

Poirier Defeated McGregor, Won Rivarly Overall
Poirier defeated McGregor by first-round TKO in the main event of UFC 264. McGregor suffered a broken tibia at the end of the first round, so Poirier grabbed his second straight stoppage win over the Irishman. Poirier also defeated McGregor by second-round stoppage via punches at UFC 257 back in January.
Meanwhile, McGregor is now just 1-3 in his last four UFC fights. He also just lost one of the most important rivalries of his UFC career 2-1 to Poirier.
Sure, McGregor beat “The Diamond” back in 2014 by first-round knockout in a featherweight contest, but Poirier returned the favor twice in the lightweight division in 2021.
Additionally, both of Poirier’s wins came over McGregor after both stars had reached the top of the sport, so each victory alone would seem to carry more weight all by itself in regards to historical merit than McGregor’s 2014 win.
According to one of his latest posts on Instagram, McGregor hopes to get a fourth fight against Poirier when he returns from injury.
UFC president Dana White revealed his company had the same plan at the post-fight press conference for UFC 264, but Poirier has seemed less committed to the idea.

Is McGregor No Longer Elite?
Regardless, McGregor’s MMA career seems to be in a free-fall right now, at least in terms of him being considered one of MMA’s elite fighters. He had already fallen off the UFC’s official pound-for-pound list earlier this year, and now he’s ranked the No. 7-contender in his own division.
That’s a far cry from where he was in 2016 after beating Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight championship at UFC 205.
That stunning victory made McGregor the first-ever UFC “champ champ”, and one of only seven two-division champions in history overall.
But after losing to Poirier in his last two fights, McGregor’s best wins in the sport have now come half a decade ago, and he hasn’t been able to get back to his winning ways in 2021.
On top of that, the wild tirade McGregor went on after losing to Poirier, which included “Notorious” threatening the life of his opponent and his wife, has now placed McGregor in some of the poorest light of his career.
Fans seem to be lashing out at him about that on social media, but McGregor is now lashing right back at them.
