If you have been waiting to use Photoshop on your iPhone or Android smartphone, the wait is over. Today, Adobe announced the launch of Photoshop Touch on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for $4.99. When Adobe initially released the tablet version of Photoshop, it was priced at $9.99.
Photoshop Touch on the phone will have similar features to the tablet version, including adjustments and filters, advances selection tools, and layers. Purchasers will receive a free 2GB Adobe Creative Cloud account to store files. Using Adobe Creative Cloud will automatically sync your projects to any of your devices.
There is a new version of Scribble Select that will make cropping images with your finger a lot easier. You can also blend layers and add texture using Camera Fill.
Stephen Nielson, Products Manager at Adobe, said in an interview, “We wanted to make the app more accessible and available for situations where you don’t have a tablet available.”
