Questionable to return Sunday
Meinerz (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Colts, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports. Meinerz suffered the shoulder injury in the second half, making it a greater challenge for him to make it back onto the field before the game's conclusion. Matt Peart is a candidate to see an increase in workload in his absence.
Gets big deal from Denver
The Broncos signed Meinerz to a four-year, $80 million contract Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The deal includes $45 million in guaranteed money, per Rapoport. Meinerz was headed into the final season of his rookie deal in 2024, but he'll now be a part of Denver's offensive line for the foreseeable future. He earned the big contract by establishing himself as one of the league's top young guards over the past two campaigns.
