Layne has made a complete recovery from the torn ACL he suffered last October and is fully cleared for all football activities, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Layne played in five games with the Chargers last season before tearing his ACL in Week 6. He made one start but was relegated almost exclusively to special-teams work in his other four contests. Layne is currently a free agent, and Wilson reports that several teams, including the Giants and Cardinals, are interested in bringing him in for a workout.
