Kelly (knee) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, and he doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Titans. Kelly was placed on IR on Nov. 5 and subsequently underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. He was designated to return Dec. 11 but wasn't activated ahead of last Sunday's loss to Denver; however, after beginning this week with a pair of full practices before getting a rest day Friday, it appears Kelly will be able to return to the field Sunday. If that does happen, he will likely start at center, moving Danny Pinter back to a reserve role.

Set to return Week 16
Not playing Sunday
Kelly (knee) remains on injured reserve and will not play Sunday against the Broncos. The starting center will now miss his fifth straight game. Kelly has started all seven contests he's played in this season. Since he was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, his return may not be far off.
Practice window opens
Kelly (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday. The veteran offensive lineman has missed the Colts' last four games after being placed on IR due to a knee injury, but Wednesday's return to practice suggests he's almost past the issue. If Kelly is activated to Indianapolis' active roster in time, he could suit up for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos.
Confident in return this season
Kelly underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and expects to play again in 2024, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports. Kelly was sent to the Colts' injured-reserve list ahead of Week 10, so he'll be required to sit out until at least Week 15 at Denver. Whether Indianapolis feels there's any urgency to rush him back at that point could depend on its position in the AFC playoff picture, or lack thereof.
Lands on IR with calf injury
The Colts placed Kelly (calf) on injured reserve Tuesday. Kelly presumably sustained the injury during Sunday's loss to the Vikings. It's unclear how serious the injury is, but by being placed on IR, Kelly will be forced to miss the Colts' next four regular-season games. The earliest he can return will be Week 15 against the Broncos on Sunday, Dec. 15. In Kelly's absence, rookie fourth-round pick Tanor Bortolini will take over as the Colts' starting center.
Good to go for Sunday
Kelly (calf) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against Dolphins and is expected to play. Kelly missed Weeks 4 and 5 with a neck injury and then suffered a calf injury in last week's win over the Titans. He was unable to return to that game, but it's evidently not a serious issue for the Colts' center.
Missing Wednesday's practice
Head coach Shane Steichen told reporters that Kelly (calf) won't practice Wednesday, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports. The Colts' top center sustained a calf injury in Sunday's win over the Titans, so Wednesday's DNP comes as no surprise. If Kelly cannot upgrade to at least limited participation either Thursday or Friday, expect Tanor Bortolini to serve as Indianapolis' starting center in Week 7.
Will not return
Kelly (calf) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Titans, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Kelly previously missed time this season due to a neck injury, but will now be sidelined with a calf issue. Tanor Bortolini will fill in at center now for the Colts.
Cleared from injury
Kelly (neck) was a full participant during practice Wednesday. Kelly has missed the Colts' last two games, but after logging a full practice Friday, he should be set to play Sunday against the Titans. With his return to play, Indianapolis will get back its starting center, moving Tanor Bortolini back to a depth role.
