Singletary is slated to sign a three-year deal with the Giants, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Per Schefter, Singletary's looming three-year pact with New York is a $16.5 million agreement that could be worth up to $19.5 million. The 26-year-old, who had 216 carries for 898 yards and four TDs to go along with 30 catches for 193 yards in 17 regular-season games with the Texans in 2023, steps into a situation where he'll be called upon to help fill in for the departure of Saquon Barkley (Eagles). It's a role that should yield enough touches for Singletary -- who profiles as the team's lead back at this stage -- to merit fantasy lineup consideration in 2024.

Devin Singletary Latest News
Joining New York's backfield
Splits with Pierce in Week 12 loss
After a three-week run as Houston's lead back, Singletary split carries with Dameon Pierce (ankle) in Pierce's first action since Week 8. Neither running back found much rushing success, as Pierce finished with just 14 yards on five rushing attempts. Singletary was far more involved as a pass catcher out of the backfield, setting season highs in targets, catches and receiving yards while Pierce had just one reception. With a Week 13 home game against Denver's generous run defense up next, both members of Houston's backfield timeshare will be looking to bounce back on the ground.
Another 100-yard effort in win
Singletary got the starting call once again with Dameon Pierce (ankle) still sidelined and again delivered a highly efficient performance the likes of which his injured teammate hasn't come close to delivering this season. Singletary also added his second touchdown in as many weeks with an 11-yard run in the second quarter, rounding out his fantasy production nicely. Even if Pierce, who returned to a limited practice Friday, is able to suit up in a Week 12 matchup against the Jaguars, the pecking order in the backfield may have shifted in Singletary's favor for the time being.
Career-best effort in win
Singletary filled in for Dameon Pierce (ankle) for the second straight game, and on this occasion, he was the only Texans running back to log a carry. Singletary consistently exploited running lanes throughout the afternoon, with his long gain going for a modest 22 yards. He also recorded his first touchdown in a Texans uniform on a six-yard run midway through the third quarter, the perfect punctuation mark on the career-best performance. Given how much Pierce has struggled for running room when he's been healthy, it's certainly conceivable the backfield develops into much more of a timeshare whenever the second-year back returns to action.
Tough sledding as lead back
Singletary paced the Texans in rushing yards while serving as the de facto lead back in the absence of Dameon Pierce (ankle). Singletary found precious little running room against Tampa Bay's standout run defense, however, leading to minimal production relative to opportunity. The fifth-year pro could revert to a complementary role as early as a Week 10 road matchup against the Bengals.
Dozen touches in Sunday's loss
Dameon Pierce and Singletary each saw 12 touches on the day, and neither was able to reach 50 scrimmage yards despite a matchup with a Carolina defense that came into the game ranked 31st in rushing yards per game allowed. The struggles of the Texans' running game will make Singletary little more than a deep-league bye replacement heading into a Week 9 clash with the Buccaneers.
