Good to go vs. Baltimore
Teller (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Teller sprained his right MCL in Week 3 and was placed on injured reserve, sidelining him for the last four games. However, he was activated to the 53-man roster Saturday and will reprise his role as the Browns' starting right guard against Baltimore, sending Michael Dunn to the bench.
Activated from IR
The Browns activated Teller (knee) from injured reserve Saturday, in advance of Sunday's game against the Ravens, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Teller is still officially listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional matchup, but all indications are that he'll be ready to take the field versus Baltimore. He figures to reprise his usual starting role at right guard, assuming official clearance does arrive ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Expected to play Sunday
Teller (knee) is expected to be activated and play Sunday against the Ravens, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Teller was listed on Friday's injury report as a full participant but questionable for Week 8. The Browns have until Saturday at 4:00 pm to activate Teller, who was designated to return Wednesday. The right guard has been out since Week 3, when Teller sprained a medial collateral ligament during a loss to the Giants.
Designated to return from IR
Teller (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Teller had his 21-day practice window opened Wednesday after missing the last month of action while recovering from a Grade 2 MCL sprain. The offensive lineman will need to be added to the active roster in the next three weeks or he'll revert to IR for the rest of the season.
Goes on IR
Teller (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Teller suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in this past Sunday's loss to the Giants and was reportedly looking at a multi-week absence. His move to IR will now guarantee a four-game absence. In a corresponding move, the team signed signed Germain Ifedi to its active roster from the practice squad.
Multi-week absence ahead
Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Teller (knee) will miss multiple weeks, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Teller exited Sunday's loss to the Giants early due to a Grade 2 MCL sprain and was not able to return. The Virginia Tech product will now be an IR candidate, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports, as Teller's injury has about a four-week recovery timeline.
Will not return
Teller (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Giants, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. Teller can now be added to the long list of injuries the Browns continue to deal with. His exit will most likely lead to Zak Zinter stepping in at right guard.
Not practicing Wednesday
Teller was limited at practice last week by a calf injury, and it's not clear when the ankle issue popped up. He'll likely need to return to practice in some form Thursday or Friday to give himself a chance to play in Week 11.
