Wilson is set to go down as a non-participant on the Cardinals' fifth practice report in a row, and unless he can get back on the field in some capacity Friday, he'll most likely miss a third consecutive game this weekend in Pittsburgh. In addition to Wilson, quarterback Kyler Murray could be down a couple other key passing-game weapons, as wideout Marquise Brown (heel) and tight end Trey McBride (groin) were also spectators at practice Thursday for the second day in a row.
The rookie wideout missed three of Arizona's past four games with the shoulder injury and didn't practice at all last week. With a Week 14 bye around the corner, the Cardinals may not have much reason to bring Wilson back for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Wilson sat out Week 9 due to a shoulder issue, but after stringing together three straight limited practices this week, the rookie third-round pick will be among the top pass catchers available to quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) in his season debut. Working primarily with the since-departed Joshua Dobbs this season, Wilson has racked up 25 catches (on 33 targets) for 401 yards and two touchdowns in the first eight games of his career.
Wilson left late in Sunday's 31-24 loss to Baltimore, and whatever issue forced him out of the game also limited his practice participation Wednesday. The team should release a clarification on the nature of the rookie wide receiver's injury shortly.
