Bellore suffered a knee injury Sunday against Pittsburgh and is questionable to return. Bellore was deemed questionable to return with just over two minutes remaining in the game, so it may be difficult for him to return if the injury is isn't minor. Prior to his exit, the linebacker notched one tackle on special teams. Bellore entered Sunday having played just six defensive snaps on the season, but he had logged 164 special-teams snaps over nine contests.
The Commanders signed Bellore from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday. Bellore played 17 special teams snaps in the Commanders' Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers, and he finished the game without recording a tackle. He'll continue his role on special teams while providing depth at linebacker behind starters Frankie Luvu, Bobby Wagner and Dante Fowler.
Bellore will be released by the Seahawks on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Bellore's exit will save Seattle $2.85 million in cap space, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN.com. The 34-year-old had spent the past five seasons with the team, making the Pro Bowl twice as a special-teams ace, including this past year.
