Barnett had one tackle, 1.0 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in Monday's 34-10 win over Dallas in Week 11. On a night when defensive end Will Anderson (ankle) was inactive, Barnett made an impact while filling the void. All of his activity came on one crazy play that proved to be the turning point in the game. Barnett stripped-sacked Cooper Rush. The ensuing fumble was recovered by Dallas offensive lineman Tyler Guyton, who attempted to advance the ball but had it dislodged from his grasp by Jalen Pitre. Re-enter Barnett, who scooped up the fumble on the bounce and went 28 yards untouched for a touchdown that made it a three-score game early in the fourth quarter. The sack was Barnett's third of the season and the TD his first since his rookie season in 2017, when as a member of the Eagles he returned a fumble for a score.

Scores on fumble return
Suiting up
Barnett (shoulder) is active Sunday against the Patriots. Barnett closed the week with a full practice, paving the way for him to suit up in Week 6 and make his return after a one-week absence. The Tennessee product should fill a rotational role on the Texans' defensive line in New England.
Questionable after full practice
Barnett (shoulder) is questionable for Houston's Week 6 matchup against the Patriots after logging a full practice Friday. Barnett finally logged a full practice after a DNP on Wednesday and a limited practice on Thursday. The 6-foot-3 defensive end missed out last week against the Bills, but hopefully his hiatus will cap at one game as the Texans travel to New England.
Missing Week 5
Barnett (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills. Barnett likely sustained his shoulder injury during the Texans' Week 4 win over the Jaguars, and he was unable to practice all week. With both Barnett and Jerry Hughes (hip) missing Houston's Week 5 contest, expect Rashad Weaver to serve as the team's top rotational edge rusher.
Staying with Houston
Barnett is slated to sign to a one-year deal to remain with the Texans, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. In six regular-season games after being claimed off waivers from the Eagles last November, Barnett recorded 19 tackles and 2.5 sack with the Texans. Now that's elected to stay put in 2024, the 2017 first-rounder will provide Houston with valuable defensive end depth behind Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter.
Gets picked up
Barnett was waived by the Eagles on Friday in the middle of his seventh season with the team. His move to Houston will come after appearing in eight games during the 2023 campaign with Philadelphia, seeing just 88 snaps on defense and recording three tackles.
Let go by Philly
Barnett missed the team's previous two games due to personal reasons. All 73 of Barnett's NFL appearances have come with Philadelphia, but Barnett's decline in production, due in part to the pectoral injury he suffered last season, has led to the Eagles parting ways with him. With three seasons of five-plus sacks under his belt, the 27-year-old defensive end will likely draw some interest from other teams around the league.
Ruled out Monday
Barnett missed the team's Week 9 win versus Dallas and will now miss his second straight game, this time due to personal reasons. The Eagles will now find themselves short-handed at defensive end for Monday's game.
