The Broncos signed Cunningham off the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday, Eric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. Cunningham played in 13 regular-season games for the Eagles in 2023 and posted 85 tackles (54 solo), four pass defenses and one fumble recovery, but he wasn't with a team during training camp. He eventually caught on with the Broncos on the practice squad in late September to provide depth at inside linebacker after Alex Singleton tore his ACL in Week 3 against the Buccaneers. Cunningham has been elevated by the Broncos for the last three games, and over his last two outings he logged three tackles (one solo) while playing 21 snaps (13 on defense, eight on special teams). Now that he's on the 53-man roster, Cunningham will continue to serve as a rotational inside linebacker behind starters Justin Strnad and Cody Barton.

Signed to Denver's active roster
The Broncos signed Cunningham off the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday, Eric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. He eventually caught on with the Broncos on the practice squad in late September to provide depth at inside linebacker after Alex Singleton tore his ACL in Week 3 against the Buccaneers. Joins Broncos' practice squad
The Broncos signed Cunningham to their practice squad Wednesday. The 29-year-old linebacker has been brought in by the Broncos in response to Alex Singleton tearing his ACL in the team's Week 3 win over the Buccaneers and being placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Cunningham appeared in 13 regular-season games with the Eagles last season, recording 85 total tackles and four passes defended. He could be elevated to Denver's active roster in the near future to serve as a rotational inside linebacker.
No update yet
Cunningham exited Sunday's win over the Bills with the injury and was unable to return. His potential absence moving forward for any length of time would certainly be a blow to the Eagles' linebacker corps, although it's still not clear how likely him missing time may be. His practice status in the days ahead should shed more light on his potential to suit up Week 13 against the 49ers.
Won't return Sunday
Cunningham was initially considered questionable to return after exiting Sunday's matchup, but he'll be unavailable down the stretch. Whether he'll be available for next Sunday's game against San Francisco remains to be seen.
Leaves game with injury
Cunningham was checked out in the blue tent before eventually going into the locker room. He had a team-leading 10 tackles (seven solo) before exiting Sunday's game. In Cunningham's absence, Christian Elliss has filled in at linebacker alongside Nicholas Morrow and Haason Reddick.
