Hunt rushed the ball 16 times for 68 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Panthers. He added three receptions on four targets for 19 yards. The Chiefs were surprisingly in a tightly contested game, which forced them to rely on Patrick Mahomes more than anticipated while also limiting Hunt's opportunity. Hunt did show some moderate playmaking ability with long gains of 13 as both a rusher and receiver, allowing him to top 85 yards from scrimmage for the third time in his last four games. While he's been a reliable fantasy option, his opportunity could diminish in Week 13 against the Raiders if Isiah Pacheco (ankle) is activated from injured reserve.

Kareem Hunt Latest News
Tallies 87 total yards
Remains lead back for Week 12
Hunt will continue to lead Kansas City's backfield Week 12 against the Panthers, as Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Isiah Pacheco (ankle) won't be activated from injured reserve prior to Sunday's game. Coach Andy Reid revealed Friday that Pacheco's absence will extend through Week 12. Hunt has logged at least 14 carries in all seven of his appearances for the Chiefs, and he's likely to handle another hefty workload Sunday against a Panthers defense that has allowed the most rushing touchdowns (14) and second-most rushing yards (1,339) to opposing running backs in 10 games this season.
All 60 yards come on ground
Hunt took 14 carries for 60 yards and was not targeted as a receiver in Sunday's 30-21 loss to the Bills. Hunt turned in an adequate effort on the ground in tough road environment while garnering 14 of Kansas City's 17 rushing attempts in its first loss of the season. The veteran's fantasy day has a little less luster when you factor in the lack of touchdowns and involvement as a receiver. It was Hunt's first game since rejoining the Chiefs in which he did not receive a target. This ironically comes on the heels of a seven-catch effort against Denver in Week 10. The real concerning news for managers would be the potential return of starting tailback Isiah Pacheco (ankle), who is expected to return from injured reserve against the Panthers next Sunday, as reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Busy day as receiver Sunday
Hunt rushed 14 times for 35 yards and brought in seven of 10 targets for 65 yards in the Chiefs' 16-14 win over the Broncos on Sunday. Hunt unsurprisingly found running room at a premium against a stingy Broncos defense, but he made up for it by generating a team-high receiving yardage total and coming in second in both receptions and targets. All three components of Hunt's receiving line were season highs, while his carries and rushing yardage tallies tied and set a season low, respectively. Isiah Pacheco (IR, lower leg) is expected to remain out until later in November, so Hunt should remain in the lead-back role for a Week 11 road battle against the Bills next Sunday.
Submits full practice
Hunt (quadricep) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. For the second week in a row, Hunt is appearing on Kansas City's injury report with a listed quad issue, but his ability to practice fully Thursday clears up any concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Broncos. With Isiah Pacheco (fibula) not expected to return from injured reserve until late November at the earliest, Hunt should be in line for at least two more outings as Kansas City's lead back. Though he's averaging a meager 3.7 yards per carry through five contests since signing with the Chiefs, Hunt has been a strong fantasy option on the back of heavy volume (at least 16 touches in each game) and a nose for the end zone (five touchdowns).
Limited to begin week again
Hunt (quad) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. Hunt was limited in practice last Thursday due to a quadriceps injury but proceeded to upgrade to full participation before rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown in Monday's win over the Buccaneers. His fantasy managers will be hoping for a similar pattern ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos, with little indication at this point that there is any meaningful concern regarding Hunt's Week 10 availability.
Scores game-winning TD
Hunt carried the ball 27 times for 106 yards and a touchdown while catching his lone target for 11 yards in Monday's 30-24 overtime win over the Buccaneers. Hunt was the hero for Kansas City in a tight affair that came down to overtime between cross-conference opponents. The veteran running back continues to be used more as a rusher than a receiver based on his previous run with the Chiefs. While that should be considered a negative in terms of fantasy evaluation, Hunt's hefty role as a pure rusher (22.2 rushing attempts per game) has helped offset his change in usage. With five touchdowns and healthy rushing totals over his last five games, Hunt should be considered an upper-tier RB heading into Sunday's tilt against Denver.
Logs full practice Friday
Hunt (quadriceps) practiced fully Friday. Hunt opened Week 9 prep with a limited session Thursday, but his ability to handle all on-field work one day later clears up his status ahead of Monday's contest against the Buccaneers. In four appearances working as the Chiefs' primary running back this season, he's averaged 22.5 touches for 87 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring four TDs on the ground.
Limited by quad issue
Hunt (quad) was limited at practice Thursday. Hunt began Week 8 preparation with a limited practice last Wednesday due to a hip issue. This time around, the running back is contending with a quad concern, which makes his status worth monitoring ahead of Monday night's game against the Buccaneers. In the Chiefs' win over the Raiders this past Sunday, Hunt logged 42 snaps on offense en route to carrying 21 times for 58 yards and a TD while catching his only target for four yards.
