Isabella was let go from the Steelers' practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Isabella spent the first two months of the regular season without a team after failing to make the Bills' 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He managed to catch on with the Steelers' practice squad Oct. 25, but he was not elevated for a game. Assuming he clears waivers, Isabella will look to join a team in need of depth at wide receiver.

Cut from Steelers' practice squad
Isabella was let go from the Steelers' practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Isabella spent the first two months of the regular season without a team after failing to make the Bills' 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He managed to catch on with the Steelers' practice squad Oct. 25, but he was not elevated for a game. Assuming he clears waivers, Isabella will look to join a team in need of depth at wide receiver.
Joins Pittsburgh's practice squad
The Steelers signed Isabella to the practice squad Friday. Isabella, who spent time with the Bills during the offseason, will now get a chance to operate in an emergency depth role for Pittsburgh. The 2019 second-round pick has appeared in four combined regular-season games with Buffalo over the last two years.
Cut by Buffalo
The Bills released Isabella on Tuesday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. Selected with the No. 62 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Cardinals, Isabella was cut by Arizona in October of 2022 and has spent the last couple years bouncing around the practice squads and active rosters of the Ravens and Bills. Now 27, Isabella is running out of time in the NFL and hasn't caught a regular-season pass since he left the Cardinals.
Recovers from injury
Isabella (leg) returned to practice Wednesday, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports. Isabella was able to make a quick recovery after being carted off the field Monday. The 27-year-old is likely facing an uphill battle to make the Bills' final 53-man roster, but his speedy return to the field should keep him in contention for now.
Carted off during camp
Isabella (leg) left Monday's camp session on a cart, Matt Parrino of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports. The 2019 second-round pick out of UMass is fighting for a depth spot on Buffalo's 53-man roster after appearing in just four regular-season games in 2023. The severity of Isabella's injury is currently unknown, and if the 27-year-old misses time, his chances of making it through the Bills' final roster cuts are likely slim.
