Schwartz (knee) was placed on the Dolphins' reserve/injured list Sunday. Schwartz injured his knee while being tackled on a 17-yard reception in Friday's preseason game against Tampa Bay. Tests later confirmed that Schwartz tore a ligament in his knee, and the 2021 third-round pick will now be forced to sit out for the entire 2024 season unless an injury settlement is reached with the Dolphins. Schwartz appeared in 11 regular-season games for the Browns last season, finishing with four catches on 10 targets for 51 yards while adding 57 rushing yards and a touchdown on four carries.

Placed on injured reserve
Schwartz (knee) was placed on the Dolphins' reserve/injured list Sunday. Schwartz injured his knee while being tackled on a 17-yard reception in Friday's preseason game against Tampa Bay. Tests later confirmed that Schwartz tore a ligament in his knee, and the 2021 third-round pick will now be forced to sit out for the entire 2024 season unless an injury settlement is reached with the Dolphins. Tears ligament in knee
Schwartz suffered a ligament tear in his left knee during Friday's preseason loss to Tampa Bay, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Schwartz didn't play in either of the Dolphins' first two exhibition contests but was finally able to take the field Friday for the preseason finale. The 23-year-old caught both of his targets for 24 yards, but on his second catch -- a 17-yard reception thrown by Skylar Thompson -- he hurt his knee while being tackled. Jackson cites a source in indicating that Schwartz tore a ligament in his left knee on the play and suggests that the speedy wideout is headed either to IR or toward an injury settlement. Miami has yet to confirm those details, but this nonetheless appears to be another hit to a wide-receiver room that has had its depth thinned due to a multitude of injuries.
