The Lakers waived Murphy on Saturday, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports. Murphy appears to have just signed his Exhibit 10 contract in order for Los Angeles to obtain his G League rights. He is set to spend the 2024-25 campaign with the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
