Kentucky used a dominating performance and showed the rest of the remaining NCAA Tournament field why its the overwhelming favorite to win it all with a 78-39 victory over West Virginia on Thursday night.
The top-seeded Wildcats held the Mountaineers to 24 percent shooting as they advanced to the Elite Eight for a second straight tournament.
Trey Lyles scored 14 points and Andrew Harrison added 13 for UK, which will face No. 3 Notre Dame on Saturday. The Irish topped Wichita State 81-70.
The Wildcats improved to 37-0, while West Virginia ends its season at 25-10.
Juwan Staten led the Mountaineers with 14 points.
