What drives Herschel Walker?
Walker, 48, is a former superstar collegiate and National Football League running back. Walker scored the Heisman Trophy in 1982, before many current NFL stars were even born.
Walker may be getting on in years, but he’s still fueled by a desire for competition. That desire was the impetus for his move into mixed martial arts. Walker, who trains with the famed American Kickboxing Academy, earned a victory in his first-ever professional fight last December, displaying a physique and cardiovascular superiority not found in men twenty-five years his junior.
This week, Walker sits down with the crew from MMAthletics to talk about his training routine. Don’t miss this inside look at one of the most compelling figures in the sport.
