Entertainment Weekly has unveiled on its cover the new suit that Ryan Reynolds will be sporting for next summer’s Green Lantern flick and Reynolds couldn’t be happier about his new threads.
As you can see from the cover, the suit does look pretty sweet with its glowing lantern chest emblem, emerald green mask and iconic ring which powers through Lantern’s imagination. “Will and imagination are his superpowers… We need a circus of Timothy Learys to think of things Hal [Green Lantern] would invent with his ring,” Reynold’s told MTV News.
Hopefully, fans of the comic book series will be as happy with the turnout of the costume as Reynolds was. This will be the green guy’s first foray onto the big screen and while D.C. Comics had a mega-uber-bigger than life hit with Christopher Nolan’s “Batman” films they haven’t had as much recent movie success as competitors Marvel Comics.
Reynolds played bad guy “Deadpool” in last year’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, but this will be his first time at the helm of a comic book movie and personally, I think he fits the good guy role a little better than the villain.
