I’m guessing you already are familiar with Jamie Smith (Jamie xx) at this point: he’s in that little band, The xx? Besides being in involved with the Mercury Prize-winning band, he is also a gifted producer and DJ and has been popping up all over the place, dropping remixes and DJing for sellout gigs. A couple of weeks ago he did a pretty serious two hour live set for BBC’s Essential Mix, which you can stream here. Now, he’s done a mix for FACT. As to be expected, it’s a pressurized and atmospheric half hour, featuring tracks you’ve heard before, remixes and totally new material.
