Okay, let’s call it like it is, we all loved “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer.” It was fast, entertaining and had Abraham Lincoln as a vampire slayer. Well, the 18th president is getting his second shot at the big screen with the release of “Lincoln”, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Daniel Day Lewis, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Tommy Lee Jones.

Lincoln’s trailer was released today (followed by a Google+ hangout with Spielberg and Gordon-Levitt) and it looks spectacular. It might be a bit early to speculate but I would put money down now that this movie wins a crap ton of Oscars. Daniel Day Lewis is the perfect person to play Lincoln and the supporting cast of Joseph Gordon Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Field and James Spader has film buffs salivating. Add Spielberg’s directorial prowess to the picture and you’ve got the recipe for a major hit.

Lincoln is set to hit theaters on November 9.
